Burnisms

Ever get so encompassed into a show that you have daydreams that you're one of the characters?

Ok, no?

Well, I'm a five year old at heart - so I do.

Don't judge. That's not becoming.

As of late, I have jumped into Burn Notice. After making the big household decision to end Blockbuster & go with Netflix, I realized that I could catch up on shows easier. Now, I am not a TV junkie. In reality, I probably watch 3-4 hours per week.

Favorite shows (on air right now) as as follows:
New Girl: I want to be Zooey Deschanel when I grow up
Castle: gotta love Nathan Fillion
NCIS: not LA, that's a horrible version
Real Housewives of OC: everyone needs to put a little unrealistic drama in their lives

And in case you were wondering what the favs are not currently on air:
True Blood: love the book version of Eric. love the show version too.
Tudors: a realistic version of historical facts. It was like watching the History channel
RHOBH: everyone needs to put a little more unrealistic drama in their lives
....and now Burn Notice

I have been a mad women watching the seasons of Burn Notice. I'm half way through season 2 - dont tell me what happens. I love the dynamic relationship between Fi & Michael. I like the typography of "the client", "the other client", "the money launderer". I like the cinematography editing. It's like the editors are d.j.-ing the film role. And I think one of the smartest things is that in every episode the writers make a point to have Michael give his autobiographical points on how to be a better spy.

"Covert intelligence involves a lot of waiting around. You know what it's like being a spy? Like sitting in your dentist's reception area 24 hours a day. You read magazines, sip coffee, and every so often someone tries to kill you."

"Spies go to bars for the same reason people go to libraries: full of information if you know where to ask."

The show calls them "Burnisms". Love it.

Ok, back to daydreaming. Michael, Fi, & Sam are my new BFFs. We solve problems, do surveillance, & at any moment - one of them could call with the next job. I picture myself in a cute hipbag with the knowledge of how to shoot a military rifle & make homemade C4. Uh, no. Maybe not. I'm too delicate & scared to be a spy. (my family is laughing at me right now because the know I have an unhealthy fear of guns) But I could definitely rock that hipbag Fiona struts on her dresses. Where could I get one of those?
